Alouf
Hey guys, I was just thinking about the Chameleon tone of the DF, and how it could basically sound like a Fender, Ibanez, etc... And than I realized something. Is the tonal abilities on the DF as advertised only due to the on board EQ? sure you can have various blends of the neck and bridge, but that will not make your DF sound like a strat. elantric
RTM Its a combo of various Mag PU Coil combos + 8 different PEQ curves, and in the case of the "Acoustic" tone - Piezo mono. See latest Dark Fire OM page 9 &
Alouf
RTM Its a combo of Coils and PEQ' date=' and Piezo See OM page 9 & 10[/quote'] I don't have access to the manual currently. But I was speaking about the "emulation tone" part elantric. Isn't it mostly EQ? I mean Piezo will not do much in terms of making it sound like a strat, maybe the combo of the coils will have a slight effect...but the EQ will play the biggest part I am guessing. Of course, I could be wrong
elantric
But I was speaking about the "emulation tone" part elantric. Yes - the "Chameleon Tone" tech is: "a combo of various Mag PU Coil combos [series/parallel / phase / north coil / south coil] + 8 different PEQ curves, and in the case of the "Acoustic" tone - Piezo mono." But please give me Bridge PU North Coil only + PEQ control = Clapton Strat tone. Which is currently missing from our Chameleon Tone Palette.
