Doc Posted January 26, 2009 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Hey Y'all, I was watching the Tom Petty documentary, "Runnin' Down a Dream" last night. It's LONG, so you really have to be a fan to endure the whole thing. But there is plenty of Gibson guitar porn. I don't think the man is pictured with the same acoustic guitar twice. It's crazy. It comes with a special concert DVD filmed in Gainesville that's great, Stevie Nicks does a handful of songs with them, and a CD. It's a great buy! In an acoustic guitar world interview a year or so ago Tom related that he was partial to Gibsons for his songwriting. Most of their biggest hits were done on an old Dove (the one that almost burned in his house fire) that he eventually retired and has loaned to the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame, and his go to guitar right now is a Hummingbird.
