The Gibson Dark Fire Application Quick Start Manual is available - but the link has the wrong name - "Quick Start Guitar"

It is here:

There are already many differences between Live LE and Live Lite which is why I posted the request.

thanks.

If anyone IS interested in what they are actually getting the following restrictions have been confirmed by Ableton;-

"Max number of Audio and/or MIDI Tracks per Project: 16

Max number of Live Audio Effects per project: 4

Max number of Live MIDI Effects per project: 4

Max number of Instrument Plug-in Instances (VST or AU) per Project: 2

Max number of Audio Effect Plug-in Instances (VST or AU) per Project: 6

Max number of Sends/Return Tracks per Project: 1

Max number of Mono Audio Ins that can be used: 8

Max number of Mono Audio Outs that can be used: 2

Max number of Session View Scenes per Project: 4 "

For now, the other restrictions can only be established by searching for "Live Lite" in this doc:

http://documents.scribd.com/docs/2atgj3h1m7q8163twsmd.pdf

On each instance of "Live Lite" being found in the search you must then try the Function to establish wheather or not the functionallity is available.

I would do it myself for you all but I have no Dark Fire, no RIP and no DVD.

They could of course just publish a list of the functionallity of this version of Live Live but that would be way too easy!!

I suggest you try Reaper Audio

It was developed by Justin Frankel -

Short story is he created WinAMP Pro, sold it for millions $$ moved to Hawaii and got bored, He decided to program a Protools type application we all could afford. It gets updated frequently and actually has many more features that match or exceed all the competition of DAW apps at any cost.

Tech Specs:

Runs on Vista64, Vista 32, WinXP, Mac OSX

Its $50 for non commercial use -

Yeah, I tried Reaper. The development has been incredible. Not sure if its still possible , but I used to track with it off a flash drive, no problems.

Cubase SX 3 at the momment, but I love the whole drag and drop aspect of Ableton. We'll see I suppose.!!
