rossington88 Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 Cutting right to the point - there is a Bigsby on EBay, it is a rather difficult to find Bigsby, and has an aged patina to it. I would like to buy it, but I have never owned a guitar, let alone a Gibson with a Bigsby on it. My guitar stays in tune great, can hold the note and tune up to a 2 1/2 step bend and so on. I need some help tough... What are the pros and cons of a bigsby? Does it tarnish the tone of the guitar? TUNING? Will it hold a tune? Help is greatly appreciated! There is a New Bigsby design that mounts to ONLY the two end bar posts and the strap pin so requires no drilling. I do NOT know how it compares.
