uncle mud Posted June 1, 2017 Share Posted June 1, 2017 I recently bought a 1988 Les Paul Standard and it has pat# pickups in it. The guitar was built on the 13th day of 1988, and my question is, could they be the originals or did all '88's come with bill Lawrence circuit board pu's, or was there some over lap of pickups at the beginning of the year? The soldering looks original to me, and the pickups both have an output about 7.2 ohms. No ink stamps on the bottom plate, just the pat#. Thanks for any insight you might be able to offer.
