SJguy
Hello, new guy here. Just found this forum while searching for answers. i took a chance on an early 70's FT 155. It shows up and has the neck block issue. So I want to tackle it myself. But I can't figure out how this internal bolt on neck works for sure. I can't find the bolts. I assume it has a cover piece of wood glued on the neck block to hide the bolt heads. But just want to make sure. Has anyone had experience with an internal bolt on neck before? Thanks
Johnny3j
As far as I know, the FT 155 has a set neck with a dovetail joint like many other guitars. They used a small bolt to hold all the pieces together while the neck joint cured. The bolt itself does not hold the neck on. Then again, I could be wrong... Edit: Here's a thread which goes into detail.
