Sunstrum
Hi all! I purchased a guitar the other day. The lady said her husband had bought it out of town years ago. It is a great sounding guitar....whats puzzling is it has a gibson logo on the head stock (faded, might of been painted on)..inside reads Simpson Sears Ltd. Model Number 26149. Back of head stock says made in Japan.I was told by a friend it sounds and looks like the Gibson J-35. Regardless, I am just wanting to know if there is anything out there about this guitar. Have searched internet with no luck. Posting some pics, in hopes some member might know this guitar. Thanks!
ksdaddy
Not a Gibson. I don't see the headstock logo but I'm sure it was either painted on or a fake logo applied. I will make a guess that this is from about 1970-75. Here's one I found on Google that is similar: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-guitare/bathurst/guitare-acoustique-silvertone-26955-vintage/1390275705?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
