gateway Posted March 7, 2009 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Hello everybody - you have a great forum here. For my first post I want a bit of help (what a cheek). I have a late sixties sg special (large pickguard, huge neck - it is so big it slanted my guitar preferences for life). Every nut and bolt is original , but..... A long time ago I had Schaller machine heads put on - goodness knows why, the originals were ok. Anyway, I want to put the original 3-in-a-row chrome machines back on (I can't explain why as I don't plan to sell it but it just feels like a great idea) but my memory tells me that the guitar tech drilled the hole a little bit larger to take the Schallers.
