If we stretch the Gibson Jumbos to include their kissing cousin the Epiphone Texan - well, didn't McCartney use a Texan for "Yesterday?"  Before Year of the Cat went on the radio, Al Stewart was a folkie, even working as the compere for Les Cousins, and his axe of choice in those years was also a blonde Epiphone Texan.

Bumped into a short film today - it belongs in this thread. The slope works amazing with its wooden insert - which shows how individual these things are.                                                                                                                                                 You know, sometimes mellow is the choice - for an overall signature sound, , , or for a certain tune/recording.
 

No doubt the clip answers the thread-title Q -  ➝  ➞    It says YES !
