Howdy Gibsoneers

I decided to drop in here after I bought 2 Gibsons in the last 3 years. Both guitars were victims of homespun shenanigans in the electronic department. The previous owner of my 2011 Explorer replaced the pickups with super distortions and melted half a spool of solder on the pots and filed the low E bridge nub way too low . The other guitar, a 1997 wine red Les Paul Standard had original pickups but with a bizarre version of Jimmy Page wiring . I replaced the Super D’s with Gibson 57’s -sounds amazing now  ! ( a Kluson replacement bridge also helped) 9779EA65-3342-4792-B8FA-178C0C496B97.thumb.jpeg.7d350e10a7085b80a52f17cb506793cf.jpeg
