Fffkevin Posted January 4 Share Posted January 4 I recently bought a new Epiphone “Worn” Les Paul classic. I have been out of music for a while because I severely injured my shoulder. I used to have a Gibson Goldtop reissue with P-90 pickups. I loved that guitar. I recently had a shoulder replacement and think I can play again, so I purchased this guitar to just play. I received the guitar and do not like the finish at all. I didn’t realize just how flat the finish would be. I should have done my homework, my bad. My question is does anyone know the process Epiphone uses to get a guitar to a “Worn” finish? I am a painter and would like to clear it for gloss but do not know if it has had the grain filled or the finish sealed. I have Google searched with no luck. Hopefully someone can answer this.
