WAL Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I have an Epiphone EDS 1275 double neck and I'd like to put tremolo unit on it. I have a Strat with a Kahler on it and hacking out wood from around the bridge removed all of the mids, so I'd prefer to go down a more "none invasive" route and stick a Stetsbar on the six string of the EDS. I have seen one on an SG and Les Paul, however, the tailpiece on the EDS sits further back from the Bridge. I would have thought that I could simply remove the tailpiece and use the standard SG or Les Paul Stetsbar, but I would welcome any views and I'd be interested to know whether the position of the tailpiece on the EDS is cosmetic, or is where it is for a purpose. Indeed, I would interested to know why Gibson didn't simply use the standard Les Paul, or SG tailpiece on the EDS . Regards WAL
