Boy_Narf Posted April 18 Share Posted April 18 (edited) Hello Everyone! After countless pickup swaps I discovered the P94 and absolutely love it in my no name SG. I went to order one for a new to me custom guitar but Gibson doesn't make them anymore. I've tried a few other pickups in there (SD, BKP) but haven't found a good fit. My second favorite pickup is whatever is in my 2008 ish faded studio. Fantastic humbucker in there, probably a burstbucker? I also really like the P90 in my 2011 LPJ. Honestly every Gibson pickup I've played I tend to dig. I'm looking for some guidance on something that might be in the same vein as the P94/early BB. I've been eyeballing the 498T, maybe too hot? Clarity under high gain and dynamics are top of my wishlist. Guitar is basically an SG Junior with a single volume, no tone, no switching options. Here are the guitar specs of the guitar: solid quilt Maple body 3 pc Sapele set neck Rosewood fretboard 24.75” scale 22 medium frets brass nut thin body (SG style) Thanks everyone!!!
