jamester
I know it may sound like heresy around these parts, but hear me out people! ;-) My beloved Tele has been suffering from neglect since my conversion to semi-hollows around a decade ago; the feel is so different I just haven't been playing it at all. Deciding the main problem was the differing necks/scale lengths, I decided to try an experiment, and boy did it pay off! I ordered a new neck from Warmoth: 24 3/4" Conversion scale, '59 Roundback shape, 12" radius, chunky frets... Well I couldn't be more happy, the experiment payed off big time! I can now go from my 335's to my Tele without missing a beat - same string guage, same feel, and with the neck humbucker I actually get almost the same sound too; while I do miss the acoustic snap of a semi-hollow, through the amp they are very similar. I'll try to get a picture up soon. Don't worry I still love my Gibsons (and Guild), but I can't get over the best-of-both-worlds achievment I've gotten from this new neck. If anyone out there's been wishing for a more Gibson-like Fender, this is the way to go! :-)
