Toner Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 I don't know about BB's but I replaced the small ceramic disk .02's with these old salvaged caps and noticed a BIG change in how well the tone controls worked, and how much richer my '98 R7 sounded. The Astrons were used in '50's Fender Deluxe amps and the Sprague 160P were used in '60 LP standards. Oil and paper caps (BB)were used very early and are somthing else to try.
