Hthomas
my 5150iii head turns on, but no sound. all the power tubes do not light up. I thought it could be a fuse so I had a guy check it out and said nothing he could find was wrong. all the fuses were fine. anyother ideas on what it could be? flyingarmadillo
First off, replace all the fuses - they can be bad and still look good. What do you mean by "turns on"? Just the power light or just that the switch works? Reseat all the tubes - pull them out and put them back in. If that doesn't work replace the rectifier tubes or take it to a good repair tech if you don't feel good about replacing tubes on your own. Hthomas
like the amp it self turns on, but the power tubes dont light up and work.
flyingarmadillo
The "power" light just means the switch works, I'd take it to a tech. It's probably the power supply and something simple, but needs a tech to do.
tazzboy
Well I hate to say this but friend is wrong it is more then likely a bad fuse for the Power tubes that needs to replace.
Blackie
Take it to a local music store that has amp service.....if you are positive the fuses are good.
