mrpicard
I have one of the new Custom Historic 1955 Les Paul Custom (Black Beauty) guitars. It is fantastic except for one problem, it is virtually unplayable. As soon as I pick it up the guitar is kind of live in that it is completely static so that when you touch the pickguard you get a static noise. Also, all the screws are all "live" in that you hear a electricity sound. So is the whole body, neck, back etc, etc. So, I guess it is not grounded properly. Is there anyway I can quickly fix this (something in particular to look at) or am I going to have to take it to a guitar tech to resolve? Thanks :-)
jamman
Call the shop where you got it and send it back it needs to fixed by a Auth. Gibson Tech. or by Gibson themself. It's under warranty. If you fix it, you void the warranty. Oh , Welcome to the forum, please post some pics.
