geomcnasty Posted March 10, 2010 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Hi I have been looking to buy a used hummingbird. I was looming at a 2005. I am confused at to the specs of this guitar. There are no electronics. It has the nickel Grover tuners. It appears to have a bone nut and saddle. The truss rod cover is blank. Is this a mondern classic? I am confused by no electronics. Jinder Posted March 11, 2010 Share Posted March 11, 2010 Modern Classics weren't introduced until 2006-what you're looking at is a Historic Collection, which is somewhere between a Modern Classic and a True Vintage (ie modern style bracing, grovers, black case etc, but no electronics, bone saddle, old-style pressed and painted pickguard).
