lakehaus Posted March 13, 2010 Share Posted March 13, 2010 I have a set of '71 Gibson P90s & pots I want to install in my '97 Firebird w/ stock mini humbuckers. Nothing against mini's, but these P90s are the absolute BEST I've ever heard. Anybody ever do this mini to P90 swap? What were the impediments you ran into, and how did you overcome them? I haven't done measurements yet, but I suspect I'll have to route a bit for the P90s to fit. And replacement rings will likely have to be trimmed to fit as well. I'd prefer not to use rings, but screw holes from the orig mini's rings will be glaringly visible. Any help from those who have done this swap will be greatly appreciated!
