JThunderz
I just got my first Gibson and I need a little help with it. It's a 2006 BFG (trans-black) and I love it to death but there's only one thing I need to do to it- it seems the killswitch isn't grounded or something. I think maybe the circuit's open? When it's in the 'down' position everything is supposed to be "killed" but there's still some line buzz; however, it goes away if you touch anything metal on the guitar- the strings, the knobs, even the tuning peg! I think I read somewhere that if you switch the red and white wire positions under the switch it'll fix it- but I'm not sure and I don't want to hurt my baby! Also, when you solder guitar parts is there a specific solder agent you should use? That may seems like a silly question, but I'm just trying to be thorough. So does anyone know where to get explicit directions on how to straighten this out? Or can anyone give explicit directions? Thanks, look forward to getting some help!
