your idol Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 hey guys 1st post. i just bought a killer cherry sunburst 1981 Les Paul Custom (my dream "wife guitar" and the year i was born to boot) one minor issue, the previous owner has stuffed a cream dimarzio in the bridge. :) what year correct pickup will i need to take it back to stock and retain its value over the years. i intend on keeping this one around for a very long time and i know how much a mod like this can throw the value on something like this down the tube when it gets to be 50-60 years old, if i ever get luck enough to pass this along to a future child or grandkid i dont want to do it with a tainted $12 pickup. any help is deeply appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
