Unionman
I put two Classic 57s into my Gibson Les Paul Heritage 80, since the Tim Shaws were long gone, and compared it to the ones in my '96 Standard; was suprised how much lower volume they were (same distance from strings of course). I understand they are supposed to be 'vintage' sounding; any idea how they sound compared to Burstbuckers? The differences between Tim Shaws, Classic 57s and Burstbuckers are unclear to me. I have the Mario Milan pickup book but the differences are not clear in there either. He didn't like the Tim Shaws.
