Tom Hinton Posted June 12, 2010 Share Posted June 12, 2010 I have the chance to purchase a Gibson "Alite" Mandolin from around 1917. It has some damage and will need some work. The pick guard will need replacing. From the photo I have, there might be a crack in the wood on the back. How much is too much to pay for this instrument? Thanks.
