Shnate McDuanus
One of my favorite NWOBHM bands, Diamond Head had a very deep and dynamic sound, with a lot of internal contrast and complexity within songs, and a feeling of forward momentum throughout their music. Brian Tatler had an exquisite sense of harmony and timing. Sean Harris was a dynamic and exciting front man. The tunes were also dynamic and exciting. They were pretty versatile for what they were, and also had a surprisingly dense sound for a band with one guitarist. I have sort of mixed feeling about their new stuff. I like it a lot, but I kind of miss Harris' voice. The matter still stands, though: I love 'em, plain and simple. Oh--also, the album art for Borrowed Time was sweet:
Laaz
Great band. Canterbury was the end of the classic Diamond Head.
Shnate McDuanus
Canterbury was a sweet album. Did you get a chance to hear What's In Your Head? I thought it was pretty good, just different.
Laaz
Yeah, but once Sean left it just wasn't Diamond Head anymore.
