vertigoPT1281734043
Hey guys! Can someone tell me the difference between LP Standard, Standard Plain-Top and Standard Plus-Top? Regards!
FloyDZeD
The only difference between the plaintops and the plus tops is that the plus tops have a 1/16" layer of flame maple veneer.
SkEpTiKaL
Standard comes in Ebony and costs 20 bucks less because there's no "wood" sticker top. Plain top has a Plain Top Style veneer on top of it. Plus Top has a flamed veneer on it.
vertigoPT1281734043
Oh so the only difference's the way they look. They all sound the same. Got it! Thanks!
RotcanX
The only difference between the plaintops and the plus tops is that the plus tops have a 1/16" layer of flame maple veneer. More like 1/32". The Standard and the Plain top have plain maple veneers; however since the Standard is invariably black you can't really tell. The Plus top has a flame maple veneer or sometimes it will have a quilted maple veneer. Although they have since been discontinued, the Classic and the Classic Plus followed the same scheme except with no covers on the pickups.
