franciscog Posted August 21, 2008 Share Posted August 21, 2008 I am trying to figure out if my guitar has a solid top and or back and sides...it was made in 1995, I cant tell by looking at the edges of the sound hole, idk if its solid or not...if anyone knows I would appreciate it. Current ads for the AJ200ce specify "select spruce top" Perhaps in 1995 they made them with solid tops, but you can safely assume the current tops are laminated. When you see a letter in front of the serial number on an Asian Epiphone like that, it's the first letter of the name of the factory it was built in.
