Perfect! searching with FT ... I found out it is a '70s MIJapan FT 350 BL Eldorado and value is 200-300$...Problem is that without the blue label inside of mine and without serial nr it is worth less I presume...

Anyway, thanks again and I'll keep you posted with news from the Westone

Still no answer from the Rainbow II guy BUT I did my homework and also found a Rainbow I.

The guitar seems to be in very good condition...the ad says its a 1983 model but I can't see the headstock to see if it has the eagle or whatever it should be ;-)

Pup's have been replaced by dimarzio but I don't know if the originals are still available...

Pics are here : http://s420.photobucket.com/albums/pp285/elnationalquarterback/Westone/

The guy is asking 300€ but the ad is a bit old so I could probably grab it for 250...

Can you tell me what's the difference between a rainbow I / II ??

Adrien. The differences are as follows.

1). The Rainbow I has a three piece Maple neck, with a Rosewood f/board, a Brass nut and Pearloid dots. The Rainbow II has a three piece Mahogany neck, with an Ebony F/board, a bone nut, and Large Pearloid fret markers.

2). The Rainbow I has a standard two volume, two tone arrangement, whereas the Rainbow II has the PEQ tone pots(which are basically, a roll on/off coil tap).

3). The Rainbow II has more elaborate binding, Gold plating, and gold Knobs. The Rainbow I is plainer, with Chrome h/ware, and Black knobs.

And those are the differences, this Rainbow I is an early MK 2 version (the Mark 1 version from 81-late 82 was larger, with Mickey Mouse ears, and a standard tailpiece)so it will be from before late 83, and without the Eagle head "W" logo. It is basically a plain version of the Rainbow II, a nice guitar, but made infamous by it`s use in the corny Spandau Ballet video of "True"
