GibsonExplorer14
Looking for a new pickup to put in my SG Junior, and I like the tone of a Fender Humbucker. Does anybody know if it's compatible with the Gibson/Epiphone SG?
WireWhipper
From what I remember Fender has several models of Humbucker. Off the top of my head I can only think of their Atomic humbucker, the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus humbucker, and the old "wide range" humbuckers on the Tele Deluxe. I can't vouch for the atomic, but I believe the Pearly Gates Plus has wider spacing than its Gibson-spaced counterpart, so it may not fit in your SG. But Seymour does have the standard Gibson-spaced Pearly Gates that should fit fine. The old wide range humbuckers I believe are too large for Gibson-sized p/u cavities. If anyone sees a discrepancy in the above statement please feel free to correct me as I'm a little rusty on my Fender humbucker knowledge!
