firebird1 Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Maybe you guys can help me out.I have an epi dot, 1st four digits of the ser#dw021orange label,gibson truss cover. i assume thta means 2002 right?It came with 2 rio grande pickups in it when i bought it.I let a guy play it and he said it was a factory model with rio grande p.u.'s in it can this be true?Seem unkikely to me but who knows Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hiberna Posted January 18, 2009 Share Posted January 18, 2009 he's most probably pulling your chain. gibson personally put shitty pickups on them, then again more recently the pickups have been getting better. just be glad to know that whoever had your guitar last obviously knew quite a bit guitars so probably took care it since they went to all the trouble to put some decent pickups on there.
