Emperor Joe Pass New Bridge

I'm pretty excited about replacing the wood bridge.

They're called Tru Arc and they match to the radius

of your fretboard.

When he first designed them they would fit mostly

Gretsch Hollowbodies.

I asked him (through the Gretschpages) about

making one for the Emperor. He was going to

look into the EPIs so it might as well start with mine!

The 3-3/32" post to post on the Joe Pass was different

than the usual spacing so he's now tooled for that.

This model is called "Low Rider Rock Steady" Tru Arc.

I ordered Copper to compliment the gold hardware.

I can't do a sound clip but sure will post pix when I get it.

too excited, can't sleep (GAS symptoms)[-(/

[/quote']I'd be more concerned about how it matches the body. Too many wood bridges don't seat tight against the body.

I agree.

That's why when we were talking about it (forum chat) he was looking into

having this bridge fit the orig. to the guitar base.

The Tru Arc will now fit the EPI post spacing & rest on the orig. thumbwheels.

LOL, now I know what Mom said about eyes behind her head!

  • 1 month later...

Tim at TruArc told me the bridge is on it's way.

Will post pix as this is kinda new as opposed to refitting

with a TOM bridge.

This matching radius bridge resembles a Gretsch bar

bridge but has been built to fit the orig. Emperor base & posts.

Copper to look cool w/gold hardware !

I've got the TruArc on the JP.

It plays great with a brilliant sound but I can't seem to get the

photobucket photo to show.

I don't mean to be a ****** but I never thought to pay

attention when others asked about photos...(help?)

1-Go to your album page in Photobucket.

2-Hover your mouse over the picture you want to post. A list will appear below the picture.

3-Slide the mouse cursor down to 'Direct Link' and click once. A small box will appear that says 'Copied'.

4-Now go to your 'Post a reply' page here and click on the 'Image' icon (the mountains with the sun overhead). 'img][/img' will appear in your message.

5-Click your mouse in between the inner square brackets (']['), right-click the mouse and select 'Paste'.

Voila, you have inserted your picture.

Cheers.
