BSAKing
I am replacing the bridge asembly on my Joe Pass. I got an archtop roller bridge with rosewood base from guitar fetish. So far I have managed to seat the threaded bits into the rosewood support and have lopped off (quite a bit of) the extra threaded part so it sits flush with the bridge top or slighly below it once adjusted. My question is: I recollect seeing here that someone went to fairly detailed lengths to ensure that the rosewood support was flush with the archtop. Now - can anyone direct me to that thread? I could not find it again. AND I was wondering if anyone has taken that approach and whether it makes a significant difference (worth the effort involved). TIA, BSA
