ermmmmm
Hello, Wondered if anyone can help me. I'm interested in buying the Epiphone MB-200, but was wondering if it's possible (and if anyone has) to remove the resonator? (to be able too switch from open-back to closed) If anyone can shed some light on to whether you can do it on the 200 (and if it is as simple as removing some screws, or if there's another method to it) it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :(
Dylan1281734152
Hi Ermmmmm, Welcome to the forum. This is a great to place to hang out. There are a lot of cool folks here. I own the MB-200. I have not been playing the banjo for long, so I'm no expert. I have never taken the resonator off, but it sure looks like it can be done easily. There are four thumb screws that appear to be holding it in place. I hope this helps. Dylan
ermmmmm
Hello Dylan, Thank you for the welcome, and yeah, it looks like quite friendly place! Ah righty! Okay so that sounds promising! Thanks for the reply, been a fan of Epi for a while and just wanted to get into the whole bluegrass thing of recent, and noticed they did a banjo range (At quite a resonable price) So i'll be deffeiantly checking this out! Once again, thanks for the reply!
ermmmmm
A little follow up to add onto this question, does it appear as it you can take the 'flange' off as well? Cheers!
Dylan1281734152
I would assume so, but I've never tried any of these procedures on my banjo. I'm really pretty new to the instrument. Sorry I can't be of greater service. Dylan
