VitoA
It's been a year since I ordered my EJ-160E from Musician's Friend ... I just had it set up and the tech asked why the strap screw on the neck was in the wrong place? Being a novice, and not using that type of strap, I never noticed it. Do you know why that screw is on the bottom where the neck meets the body? [/img]
el capitan
Without more detail/photo how do we know where the strap button is? I'm guessing it's on the treble side of the heel with a horrible nylon grommet between the button and the wood. Unless you're left handed that's OK,but those flat heels on Gibson's and Guilds cry out for a strap button bang in the middle, but that's too obvious! Rockanrolla
If its on the treble side of the neck heel, its not wrong, lots of guitars have the there, it often helps the strap grip by spreading the load, usually on heavier guitars, My LP has it in this position. there isn't a bad place on the heel (within reason) to have them, its personal choice.
