Jpksms Posted March 8, 2010 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Hello, At a church garage sale over the weekend i found what appears to be a Epiphone Les Paul Special 2. It is wine or cherry red color...two pickups...two knobs..one selector switch...it has the word EPIPHONE on the truss rod cover. in Block letters in white. It has the sticker on the back of the headstock that says: tested inspected and set up in the USA by 13. ( or something close to that) Weird thing is there is absolutley NO serial number on it anywhere. Weirder yet the head stock logo does not say epiphone. it has a round red E logo with what kinda looks like wings...or white lines representing wings on it?? I have searched the internet and i cannot find a picture of this logo anywhere nor have i seen it on a guitar. Jpksms Posted March 8, 2010 Author Share Posted March 8, 2010 Thank you, i guess the logo is the E series...the article talks about four models however none is a Les Paul Special 2 model.. so do you think this guitar has an E series neck someone bolted onto a Les Paul Special 2??
