Your guitar was made..........

09=year

01=month

23=factory code means Indonesia

0758=production#

guitardater don't "know" the serials without Letters in front...

Peter

Here you go........

http://forums.epiphone.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=8067

the serial doesn't really tell you if the guitar is legit or not.........

but I don't think someone would fake a 150$ guitar' date=' but that's just me[biggrin']

Peter

I agree with you Peter.

From what we have seen, the vast majority of fakes are Les Paul Customs and special editions (Zakk Wyldes etc) - in other words...the ones that sell for the most money!

Your picture link doesn't work. You're linking to a file on your computer which we can't access (because it's on your computer). That's not how you link a picture.

It doesn't matter anyway. I guarantee you absolutely 100% that your Special II is not a fake. There are simply no recorded fakes of Special IIs. Counterfeit manufacturers don't waste their time faking the budget models.

alright thanks sorry bout the link i have no idea how u put the pics up #-o

You have to upload it to an internet site like imageshack or photobucket that can host the image, then you can link to the image with IMG tags.

Anyway doesn't matter cos like I said, I don't need to see it to know that your guitar is not fake.

Electrosushi - start a new thread in the Electrics Section,

re-post your photos.

I have some comparison pix for you, also, please get the Model # of

the Amp - never seen one like that.

And I'm having heck with your serial numbers -

Guitar dater says: Muse Plant, China... September 1923

Manual research doesn't produce anything useful, it's the

"23" in the numbers - usually the Year number....
