AlanH
While the rest of Europe pays for the Greek national debt, the weakening Euro is good news for UK forum members at the moment. The following from Thomann seem to be very good prices:- Epi Dot (Black, Natural, Vintage Sunburst) = €275 => £226.19 Epi LP Standard (Black) = €279 => £229.48 Free delivery over €200 (I've used them before and the guitar came very well packaged and factory sealed.) Also note that stores like DV247 will match any EU price. http://www.thomann.de/gb/search_dir.html?gk=gieg&bn=EPIPHONE&sw=&pg=2&oa=pra These are basically what the £GB prices of the respective studio versions were a couple of months back. Tempted anyone? I'd take one of each if I could guarantee my wedding tackle stays in tact. Alan
Markwell
Wish I'd have known about DV247 matching prices when I ordered my Casino from them. Also, though the site said the Epiphone hardcase was in stock, they got back to me two weeks later to say they wouldn't have any in until July (this was in early February). I cancelled the order on the hardcase, and just got the guitar. Two months ago (from now), I saw the case was in stock everywhere, and DV247 now sell a bundle with the Casino and the case for £30 less than I paid for just the guitar - but by then I had already bought one of Thomman's own-brand cases, with cheap plastic locks that snapped, and I had to pry the latch off with a screwdriver. So now I have a case with one broken latch (thankfully not one of the most important ones) that cost me more than a real Epiphone hardcase. Sorry, felt the need to vent. Back on topic, those prices are great - I may get one of those black LP standards.
Chris the Gent
Thomann are good but Woodbrass are worth a look too, cheaper than Thomann on most Epi's http://en.woodbrass.com/index.php as it's already been said, DV247 will match any European price..... GAK will also match, I have just ordered a Sheraton and a Vox AC4TV from GAK for £510, free delivery and 10 months interest free. -Chris,
Plymouth581281734240
I bought my Epiphone Dot Studio with Thomann a couple months ago. Their price seems the best and even if it's a few £ higher than another website, their service is definately worth it.
AlanH
Peter, Next time you go perhaps you should ask them if you can take some pics for the Epiphone forumites, especially of any new special editions they have in. Alan
