animalfarm
We're not ignoring you - we're waiting to see if you'll undo one of the pots in your guitar, then measure the distance from the base of the shaft (without space washer) to the tip where the knob goes! :- :- :- Alpha Pots are what I use when I replace any, and in all mods and project gits. Correct size, and splines on top allow you to re-use your existing knobs. An Alpha "A" pot is generally used for Volume, and Alpha "B" is used for Tone. A = Audio = Logarithmic B = Linear Link to similar topic - Jerrymac has great pic of examples. http://forums.epiphone.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=417 Link from "Do it Yourself" thread in Epi Lounge, subtopic: POTENTIOMETER and WIRING INFO: http://www.hoaglandbrothers.com/pages/FAQ.htm

I have 3 PACKED 3-ring binders of git-related info, plus stuff I've saved into favorites in my computer. This also gives me a chance to remind folks threre IS a "DIY" thread that contains lots of links and info, just may require a bit of looking! So, start yourself a binder, you can always make copies for your friends if needed. Many places to buy pots... Everyone will have a favorite site. CajunBlues
I used short shaft pots when changing out the electronics in my epi lp special sc... But its better to use long shaft so you can make use of the washers that come with the pots... So the answer is to use the long shaft pots... I just like Alpha Pots. Easy to use, fit just right, full-size, and if replacement needed, Iz no problem. And Less expensive. Some of the folks here are OK with mini-pots, some swear by CTS pots. ME use, ME happy. done deal. :)
