disaster
I just put a set of the String Saver Saddles on my new G-400. Interesting results. I'm trying to obtain a better balance in the sustain. The original saddles have a very heavy bias towards the bass strings. The String Savers are lower/shorter than the original (less mass) and seem to have a little more tendancy towards the mid-range. Not dramatic but I think it's a bit better. Need to do more experiements but I like them so far. The bridge is a bit lower with these saddles allowing for better action adjustments. Check them out. Sjael
I just so happen to swear by StringSaver saddles, especially for trem-equipped guitars. And for the record, the SS saddles were a tad taller than the ones on my MIK Explorer.
StewartB
I put them on my US Strat and they did improve the tuning stability quite a bit. Mine are the teflon coated metal types. Good gear.
