damiangeorgiou
Hi All, The pre-amp in my Steinberger Synapes 5 string bass decided to die leaving me with the drama of hunting down a replacement. I have purchased the BTS System however I am not 100% certain it is compatible with the pickup configuration of the bass. The bass comes with a emg active soapbar magnetic pickup (not sure on teh model) and a piezo bridge pickup. No wiring the magnetic pickup in was fine as it has a single output and an earth (along with power). The issue is the piezo bridge pickup. This has 3 wires, two outputs and one earth. I think one output is the DG string and the other are the BEA strings. How would i wire it into the BTS System? Is it as simple as soldering the two output wires together? The reason why i went for the BTS is i have no idea what the system is that comes with the bass or where to get one. Also interested in what other pre-amp systems people may have used with the 'Steinberger Synapes 5 string bass with piezo bridge) cheers, Damian
damiangeorgiou
Now am i correct to say i should be able to use the EMG BTS Control for EQ, the 'Bartolini MPB2-918 Piezo-Magnetic Pickup Buffer' for the blender between the Mag and Piezo and a **k pot for a master volume? If so what value should the master volume pot be?
