libertarian1281758326
Hi there, I am looking to revive an old Hohner St Victort Strat that I own. The KB trem is pretty messed up with the posts bent and the spring popped out of its cavity. I may still have a few spare parts and just found instriuctions on how to fix it. http://www.meissner-dokuteam.de/Files/Steinberger_KB_Trem_01_small.pdf If that doesn't work I thought about replacing it with one of the Kahler reissues. Has anyone ever tried that? How do the dimensions of the KB cavity measure against the screws that keeps a Kahler in place? I can't measure it at the moment since the guitar is in storage on the other side of the Atlantic... Thanks

Hi O. (I guess it's you?)' date=' it definitely does work, I'm collecting success stories :-) Here is one of them (I know you understand German): Successful KB trem repair There's one thing that may prevent a successful repair job, and that is a damaged base plate or damaged threads within the base plate. This may happen if there have been previous repair attempts, using whatever method one could think of (like bending the pedestals back or drilling new holes, using other screws etc.). In all other cases the trems have been successfully revived :-) Bernd
