Cheeks
If your amp has no fuse, then YOU put a fuse in the circuit on the primary side of the power transformer. Cheap amps or low powered amps (to cut costs) generally do not have any fuses in them. IF your amp has a power transformer in it and it is not fused, you could be out of a amp if a capacitor should ever short-out and thence wipe out your power transformer on the secondary side of that power transformer. So, if your amp has no fuse in it, ADD one... to the PRIMARY (mains AC side) of the power transformer circuit. It is better to blow a fuse when a capacitor shorts, than to overheat and melt the windings in a power transformer. That could also pose a fire hazard toboot. Chances are pretty good you will not find another replacement power transformer... if you do, it will be either used or a universal replacement and extremely expensive to replace. A simple fuse if very cheap and inexpensive to replace. Thinking ahead is a good idea.
