Steven Tari
I went down picked up my 339 and Hummingbird guitars and took in my 12 string to get checked out to see if it could be fixed. The tech checked it out and told me that the piece was guled in there to good and would be a problem getting out, so I should try to play it untill it comes off. He also told me to put an apple cut in half in the guitar hoping that the wood would go back to the original place. He tuned it and said good bye. Any one else have a suggestiion? I guess I'll look at some other 12 string's and keep on playing this one for a while (if I can. )
TommyK
Details. What piece is glued in too good? Pictures! Any luthier (not necessarily a tech) can open up any glued joint with a bit of heat and steam. Apple slice? I'd be not taking any more guit tars to this nut job. He should go back to Jiffy Lube.
