G McBride
Had a guitar lesson last night. My instructor has been playing an Ibanez from the music store wall and always seemed to like that guitar. For the past few lessons I have been taking my 339. Last night we were playing Roadhouse Blues and he stopped me and said listen to this. He played a lick then told me to play it, I did as instructed. He said that he was going upstairs to get something that would sound a little closer to my 339. He just couldn't stand listening to my guitar with more presence and better tone any longer. He came back with something with a set of Seymor Duncan 59's in it and the lesson went on. My point is that this 339 is a very impressive instrument regardless of what music you are playing. Gibson got this one right.
Versatile
For shredding and tapping I enjoy a low set solid with a locking trem For tone and character a semi It's a privilege to be able to do both at whim Glad you are enjoying the lessons V
