Gibsonblues
Hey fellers... I've have a 65 SG Jr (3189XX) that I've had since the early 70's. It was stored much of the 80's and 90's due to kids and family. Not mint at all as it's been played a bunch by me and it certainly has it share of dings and road knocks. My question is I'm going to get it checked out and tuned up to start jamming and gigging. Frets are worn but playable but there is a little buzzing up the neck nothing too bad though. Other than the regular stuff, would caps need to replaced with newer ones? I'd like information on what an old work horse like this might need. If this is not the right place for asking please let me know. Thanks, Tony
Dillon Anderson
I don't know enough about the older guitars but that's one beautiful SG you have there!

retrorod
I wouldn,t replace the tone capacitor. Just send it to me. I'll "spank her" and set her right....

I didn't think I'd need to replace the tone cap. She likes to get spanked! Later, T
