Yggdrasil Posted November 26, 2010 Share Posted November 26, 2010 I have an early Jorma Sig, which I believe has pickups inferior to the Classic 57s found in the later-year production models of this guitar. Jorma once told me that he thought the later pickups really improved the guitar. So, I'm thinking of replacing the pups. Looking around, I see that Gibson has a "57 Classic", Seymour Duncan the SH-1 & Dimarzio a PAF 36th Anniversary, all of which seem on the surface to be suitable upgrades. 1) has anyone done this upgrade? 2) will these pickups just drop in ?
