Need help in finding specs for older SG Special

I have the opportunity to acquire a 97 white SG Special. Serial # 91477xxx (8 digits)

 

It has a full pickguard and a "spcial" neck with dot inlays. Hardware is chrome.

 

First of all, is this really a 1997?

 

I'm mostly trying to find out of the neck is Ebony of Rosewood (I'm dealing only with the picture and they are too fuzy to tell. I know that white often has Ebony fretboard, but not sure about that model year).

 

Where could I find the specs for this model?

 

Any idea of the value?
