Yea. I just put in the 1st album of poco's and I agree that is what probably caused them to not be commercially sucessfull, they were a little to country sounding, and cross-over bands did not have the success in the late sixties that they have today. I still love the heck out of them though, actually broke down and bought the MP3 Album just from reading this thread. Guess I will have to get Buffalo SPringfield next.!

One more comment about the 40th anniversary Poco concert I was at! In the middle of the show Jim Messina stepped up to the mic and said "I forgot how much fun this music was to play!".

 

Whatever "bloodline" you want to follow to-or-from Buffalo Springfield, you have to admit these boys produced GREAT F...ING music, before, during AND after.

 

I wish music of this nature was still commercially viable.
