BuddyB Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 Does anyone know if epi byrdland eliteist's, have stainless steel frets? I have a couple of high frets (17 & 19) so i got out my trusty fret crowning file, and it wont hardly scratch the frets. Really have to apply pressure to remove any metal, and im reluctant to do that cause im an amateur, wannabee, Luthier (OMG) who trys to do my own set ups. Ive never run into frets, this hard, but i have no experience with SS frets, so i wondered if they could be SS from the factory, in which case, I'll just have the thing Pleked. Hate to have this Baby Buzzing, and just laying around till i can get it to a Plek Shop, but as Dirty Harry said, "A mans got to know his limitations", and im well aware of mine.
