BRXGTR
ok so im really into my guitar and want a future playing... just an idea for the moment... You say Gibson CUSTOM so far i havent seen anything about a personalised design drawn by the guitarist... is there anyway that you could get a gibson guitar that you designed yourself? if you've drawn out life size plans who would you talk to would they help you to improve plans would they build it with your preference of materials and how much would it cost? thanks,
CR9
You should to go to a good luthier that does that type of work. Gibson does not "usually" do an artist designed guitar and a lot of that has to do with the lifetime warranty and the fact they are putting their name on the guitar. Custom orders are variations from production guitars. In the other hand, if you have enough money they may make one for you, but it you have to ask the price, then you don't have enough money. I guess if you threw a half million bucks on the table with some plans, they might take an interest in it. (just a number out of thin air and does not actually mean that is what they would want) Another option is to buy a kit guitar and then modify it to the design you want. The short answer about getting a Gibson guitar designed by yourself would be "no".
