Unusual Way to Fix Elitist Casino Fret Buzz Problem

So I just installed a bigsby/roller-bridge on my elitist casino and put some new strings on... The newer strings are a bit lighter than my old ones, and after I noticed a really annoying string buzz only in one fingerboard location. 10th fret on the g-string (f note). I never realized how much I use that note... kind of wierd... Anyway, just out of frustration I decided that I would try to shave down the 11th and 12th fret along the g string by rubbing the string against these frets with a lot of pressure...

And what do you know, After about 100 rubs on each fret, it worked. No more string buzz in this fretboard location...

I never knew that was an option...

Probably not the recommended method, but it worked. I do a bit of fretwork and occasionally have to 'spot level" a fret or two around that part of the neck. You may also want to check your neck relief after the string change. Lighter guage strings would have less tension than the previous ones, and as a result the neck may have become a bit more convex - i.e it may have straightened up a bit which could have been the main cause of the fret buzz . I find the G string around the middle frets often is the one to buzz the most.
